Simply amazing. Each time I have been here, it just gets better and better.
The atmosphere, service and food was exceptional. I can't wait to go back. I had the steak, which was melt in your mouth goodness. For dessert we had the crème brulee and cheese cake..OMG...AMAZING! -

Auberge du Pommier is one of the very few haute French restaurants located in northern part of Toronto. I visit there multiple times every year for various occasions. It's fairly close to where I live, plus it's quite spacious so it's not difficult to get a small table for one or two people without reservation on weekends.
The thing I like the most about Auberge is their service and the beautiful venue itself. Service has been great in every visit: all questions for dishes are friendly answered, special requests are accommodated, staff serves water promptly and checks in with you without letting you feeling interrupted. The venue is two white country houses being connected together. Beautiful flower bushes surround the building. The interior is classy, and they have a very nice patio to sit in during summer. It's also a popular wedding venue in uptown.
Food experience is good so far, but is not perfectly consistent. More than half of the visits were decent - I loved 2019 winter tasting menu. But there were a few times I could recall that something that day was a disappointment. For instance, in the 2019 Easter menu the patê was somehow quite salty and not well balanced. In the more recent menu the garlic sauce in the duck dish was also...quite strong. Not sure how that should be eaten, maybe blend better with other dishes?
Interestingly, the serving staff did come over and asked how I felt about the meal when I had that strong garlic sauce duck - that was the first day they rolled out the new fall menu. I did share my thoughts with him...that day I was dining alone and it was a fun conversation :D -

Warm atmosphere.
Decent food.
Friendly service.
Too small a portion of serving considering the price. -

If you want French fare and you do not want to go to Downtown Toronto, this restaurant is the place to go in uptown. They consistently deliver amazing food.
The ambiance is lovely and romantic. The restaurant is spacious and they have comfortable seating. The service is usually great. Although there have been times when the service wasn't attentive. -

This place looks cute on the outside and nice on the inside.
I came here for the summerlicious. The service was good. The food was beautiful and a pleasure to look at. The overall flavours of the food throughout the 3 course meal was on the lighter side. The highlight of the night was my main which was the Cornish hen. The chicken was nice and tender with some juice. The sauce was more of a pleaser for the eyes than the palate. The appetizer and the dessert were unremarkable in terms of taste. The terrine made with pressed chicken and foie gras was smooth, and it's presentation was nice, but it was plain and bland to the tongue. The texture of the clafoutis was soft and smooth, but it tasted like a blueberry muffin with very low sugar content. And the presentation wasn't that amazing either.
Overall, the food is not bad. It tastes better than most places, but it is not remarkable when one compares it to other places within a similar price point.
